Join us for a talk by intermedia artist, composer, curator, and UVic Visual Arts Professor Paul Walde, whose exhibition Weather Conditions, is currently on view at Legacy.
Walde’s work suggests unexpected interconnections between landscape, identity, and technology, while also offering alternative modes to traverse the overwhelming scale of climate change.
Best known for his interdisciplinary performances often staged in challenging locations in the natural environment, Walde’s work involves meditative music and choreography suggestive of endurance and survival.
Come and learn more about the exhibition, which transports weather conditions from their apparent distance in the natural world to the immediacy of the gallery space.
