Artspace | Raleigh, NC
About this Event
Join artist Nori McDuffie and Artspace's Artist Programs Manager Alexandra Jane for a discussion related to Nori's solo exhibition A Taste of Your Love on view at Artspace from June 11-July 26.
Rather than being a lecture, our artist talks invite the audience in for a shared small-group conversation. We will take a careful look at Nori's works, use visual thinking strategies to interpret, and discuss some of the following topics:
- narratives of love and dominance for dark-skinned individuals
- self-discovery and fluidity in gender and sexual identity
- the roles of power and vulnerability in intimacy
We welcome anyone to our artist talks, regardless of your knowledge of art or the exhibition's themes.
