Join us for a special evening with Spanish muralist, Dulk as he discusses his accomplished career as an artist, artistic approach and passion for environmental advocacy. Hosted by FloridaRAMA and moderated by CEO Liz Dimmitt, the artist talk will be followed by a reception with the artist in the Florida Wildlife Corridor's Wild Space gallery. Arrive early to view Dulk's mural in progress on the south (Pinellas Trail) facing side of The Factory St. Pete/St. Pete Athletic. Artist Antonio Segura, known as Dulk, is one of the most important names in Spanish painting today. His body of work begins in urban art and mural painting to which he remains closely linked although his work does not stop there. He continues to research and constantly creates new forms of expression through different media, drawing, sculpture and photography, among others.
Dulk’s paintings are the immediate byproduct of his travels into remote areas and his memories of a natural wonder and wildlife. He has witnessed firsthand both the beauty of these landscapes and the collapse that is creeping over them like a fatal tide.
With a strong conviction to defend ecosystems and the most vulnerable species, his work invites the viewer to be part of a unique imaginarium, full of energy and with a special sensitivity to color. A dream world with animals and natural spaces that tell personal, universal and unique stories.
Special thanks to The Factory St. Pete and St. Pete Athletic for supporting this project.
