Join artist Jon Sasaki for a free artist talk about his arts practice and works in our upcoming exhibition 'Trust Fall', which opens on February 1st. Jon is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist. His work often stages inefficiencies, absurd or impossible tasks as prompts for ad hoc problem solving that might result in happy accidents. For the past decade his Japanese Canadian heritage has figured prominently in his practice, with numerous projects exploring the history and culture from an Ontario Yonsei (fourth generation) perspective.'Trust Fall' will run at Nanaimo Art Gallery from February 1st to April 13th, 2025. All are welcome to attend the Opening Reception on January 31st from 7 to 9 pm.
