Join us Saturday, November 15th, 5–7PM, at Wyn317 Gallery for a special Artist Talk with Nico and Ivan Roque. This open and inspiring conversation will explore process, storytelling, and the creative journey behind each body of work. Come connect, ask questions, and experience Nico and Ivan’s solo exhibitions through their own words.The talk will be moderated by Yuval Ofir; a connector, storyteller, and creative entrepreneur based in Miami. Yuval has a gift for seeing people clearly and helping them express that truth through words, images, and experiences. Over the past 15 years, he’s built Yo Miami into a platform that connects artists, brands, and communities through storytelling, murals, events, and products. Whether behind a camera, in front of a crowd, or writing a profile, Yuval’s work always revolves around one idea: helping people feel seen, understood, and part of something bigger. @yophojo @itsyomiami
ABOUT IVAN ROQUE:
Born in December 1991, Ivan J. Roque is a Cuban-American artist and award-winning muralist from Miami, Florida. His work draws influence from both classical and contemporary figures, including Caravaggio, Mark Rothko, Alexander McQueen, Gianni Versace, and Nychos.
Roque has achieved significant recognition in his career, collaborating with major brands such as McDonald’s, Microsoft, Virgin Voyages, and Formula One, as well as working with acclaimed rapper Denzel Curry.
His murals and exhibitions have taken him across the globe, with projects in New York City, Dubai, Seoul, and participation in prominent mural festivals such as SpraySeeMo and Pow! Wow! Worcester. He has also been commissioned by numerous cities throughout the United States, including recent projects for the City of Plantation, Florida, and the City of Richmond, Indiana.
Roque has presented three solo gallery exhibitions and one solo museum exhibition at the Coral Springs Museum of Art. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts from Florida International University and was honored with a National Mural Award in 2024.
ABOUT NICO:
Nico is a Florida-based visual artist, muralist, creative director, and community organizer known for her bold, large-scale works and vibrant style. Her art seamlessly blends nature, technology, and spirituality, weaving these elements into visual narratives that explore themes of transformation, unity, and empowerment. Renowned for her signature butterfly motifs, powerful depictions of animals, and the integration of colorful glitch elements, Nico creates a distinctive fusion of organic and digital worlds.
Nico's artistic journey began in West Palm Beach, where she trained in art schools and programs before moving to Jacksonville to establish herself as a muralist and street artist. Over the years, she has collaborated with globally recognized brands, including Nike, Red Bull, Netflix, Empire Records, Atlantic Records, Jack Daniels, InterMiami CF, F1 Miami, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Florida Panthers, Porsche, and Levi’s. Nico has painted murals worldwide and participated in renowned festivals such as Governor’s Ball and Wide Open Walls, showcasing her work on a global stage.
As a community leader, Nico founded the Kid’s Mural Project in Jacksonville, a highly successful initiative that empowered thousands of students across Florida to design and paint murals. Recognized for her contributions to public art and youth empowerment, Nico has received accolades such as "Community Champion" and "Art Innovator." She continues to educate and collaborate with students, working with nonprofits like the Boys & Girls Club and PACE Center for Girls. Nico has also been invited to share her expertise as a featured speaker and workshop leader at the Conference on World Affairs at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Now based in Miami, Nico is focused on expanding her impact and continuing to create powerful, meaningful work while traveling globally for mural productions, exhibitions, and collaborations.
