A longtime Central Kentucky painter and former professor of painting and drawing at Eastern Kentucky University, Karen finds inspiration in the magical beauty of everyday life—particularly the shifting light, color, water, and vegetation surrounding Kentucky’s creeks and waterways. Her work moves between close observation and intuitive exploration.
Carey is a Lexington-based photographer and educator whose images examine the intersections of the natural world, memory, and emotion. Drawing from documentary photography while embracing alternative processes and material experimentation, she creates landscapes in which dream and reality exist side by side.
Guests are invited to enjoy tea, light snacks, and an informal Q&A with the artists.
