SUBSTUDIO is an artistic collaboration between UKY School of Interiors Assistant Professors Ingrid A Schmidt and Hannah Dewhirst specializing in custom, deeply immersive installations. Over the past ten years, SUBSTUDIO has transformed spaces through the design and fabrication of custom surfaces - wallcoverings, curtains, specialty reflective materials, and everyone’s favorite…tufted rugs.
Come join us on Sunday, October 13th from 4pm-6pm for a talk about their practice, a viewing of their installation in our 'Elevate' exhibition, and a hands-on demonstration of rug tufting. Ages 14 and up will learn how to use a tufting gun!
