Join artist Kip Fulbeck for a conversation about the ideas and experiences behind The Hapa Project. Fulbeck shares images and stories from his interactions with participants, along with insights into his artistic process and the question at the center of the project: “Who are you?”
The talk offers a deeper look at The Hapa Project / Alaska and its portraits and personal statements, which together consider how people describe themselves, their families, their experiences and their sense of belonging. The Hapa Project/Alaska is on view in the Art of the North Galleries.
Free. Attendees are invited to visit the exhibition before the lecture.
Following the talk, Fulbeck will sign copies of his book Hapa.me — 15 Years of The Hapa Project.
