On view for the first time as a full series, his sixty-one part painting series, Arwe Journey, depicts the history of the Windrush Generation as inspired by Jacob Lawrence’s Great Migration series and August Wilson’s plays. The back gallery continues the story, showing the ancestral and spiritual roots of Mandingo’s artwork.
