About the Artist:
Anna Binta Diallo is an interdisciplinary artist born in Dakar, Senegal, and based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her practice explores how memory and nostalgia coalesce to create unexpected narratives surrounding identity. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at MOCA Taipei, SAVVY Contemporary in Berlin, and the African Photography Biennial in Bamako. Longlisted for the Sobey Art Award in 2022 and 2026, Diallo is an Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba School of Art on Treaty 1 territory and is represented by Towards Gallery.
