Xchanges is excited to present the first exhibition of the 2025-26 season featuring Breanna Sprecker’s multimedia work in Blood Memory. Spreckers’ body of work in this exhibition explores themes of complex grief and intergenerational trauma. It weaves together family narratives, visual metaphors, and distinct cultural references through animal symbology and poetry. Paintings, sculptures, and text-based work and imagery from its source material of vulnerable poetry written about the tragic death of Breanna’s estranged mother, of whom she gets her Indigenous heritage.This talk is also available virtually via Google Meet:
