Artist Talk at Tyler, ARCH 104: Rochelle Feinstein

Join us for an artist talk with Rochelle Feinstein, Fall 2026 Artist in Residence at Tyler School of Art and Architecture.

For more than four decades, Feinstein has investigated abstraction through painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, collage, and digital media. Her layered, process-driven work brings varied materials and visual languages into dialogue with contemporary cultural, political, and media landscapes.

During this talk, Feinstein will discuss her practice and her forthcoming exhibition, The Today Show, opening at the Barnes Foundation in early 2027. The exhibition brings together recent works made between 2019 and 2026 and will conclude an international tour in Philadelphia, accompanied by a new commission developed in collaboration with The Fabric Workshop and Museum and produced at Tyler’s Center for Art and Creative Exchange.

About the artist
Rochelle Feinstein is a New York–based artist whose work uses abstraction, language, and cultural reference to examine shifting political, social, and media environments. Working across painting and other media, Feinstein’s practice is known for its formal experimentation, and sustained engagement with the histories and conventions of abstraction.
