Mitchell Fine Art proudly presents a new exhibition by acclaimed artist Steve Lopes, 'Everyone's Amazing', showing 21 October - 15 November 2025.
Join Steve in the gallery on Saturday 1 November, starting 2pm, for an exclusive Artist Talk followed by the Opening to learn more about his practice and this recent body of work.
“These works deal with our defiance of fate and our essential vulnerabilities,” Lopes states. “In the increasingly shattered world we find ourselves in, this is an intangible attempt to capture visually the very fleetingness of our being.”
Steve Lopes is a Sydney based painter and printmaker known for his figurative landscapes. Since 1996 he has had over 40 solo exhibitions across Australia, Hong Kong and the UK.
His works have been acquired in collections such as the National Art Gallery of Australia, Parliament House Art Collection, Canberra, BHP Billiton Art Collection and the Time Warner Collection in New York.
