Artist talk & finissage näitusel „LÄBI / THROUGH”

Olete oodatud näituse LÄBI / THROUGH lõpetamisele ja vestlusele kunstnike Evelina Lindströmi ja Maarja Mäemetsaga.
Näitusel kohtuvad kaks erinevat käsitlust mälust – ühest küljest kui ajas kestvast kogemusest, teisalt kui ruumilisest struktuurist, milles mälestused on talletatud, ümber paigutatud või vaid osaliselt ligipääsetavad. Vestlusõhtul räägime (mitte)mäletamisest, kunstnike töömeetoditest ning viisidest käsitleda abstraktseid ja isiklikke teemasid materjalipõhises praktikas. Samuti tuleb juttu kunstnike sõprusest ja koostööst, mis on näituse kujunemist saatnud.
Vestluse käigus on võimalik kuulda kunstnike endi kommentaare teoste ja nende valmimise protsessi kohta ning esitada küsimusi.
Vestlus toimub inglise keeles.

Artist talk & finissage of the exhibition “LÄBI / THROUGH”

You are warmly invited to the closing event of the exhibition LÄBI / THROUGH and a conversation with the artists Evelina Lindström and Maarja Mäemets.
The exhibition brings together two different approaches to memory – one as an experience that unfolds through time, and the other as a spatial structure in which memories are stored, relocated, or only partially accessible. During the evening, we will talk about (non-)remembering, the artists’ working methods, and ways of approaching abstract and personal themes through material-based practices. We will also discuss the artists’ friendship and collaboration, which have accompanied the development of the exhibition.
During the conversation, the artists will share their thoughts on the works and their processes of making, followed by an opportunity for questions from the audience.
The conversation will be held in English.
