The breakout portrait series, Profile Noire, debuted in 2019 with a powerful solo museum exhibition. This iconic project is more than an exhibit, it’s a love letter in revolutionary form featuring over 100 women of color in their seat of power.

This evolving body of work by photographer , is back in Washington, DC for a limited run. The exhibit invites you to experience Black womanhood through her tender and artful lens.

This is a celebration of the beauty, complexity, and unapologetic presence of Black women. Meet the artist, connect with featured participants, and become part of the movement to change the visual representation of Black women.
