Artist Talk: Alejandra Oyervides

Join us for a talk by fashion artist Alejandra Oyervides, who will take us through her process and share insights about her fashion art installation Otra vez (Once Again), on view April 2-25 2026 at the imperfecta gallery.

In her installation, Alejandra Oyervides explores transformation, renewal, and the hidden beauty within discarded materials. Through garments created from recycled and repurposed elements, Oyervides' work invites us to reconsider what is often overlooked or discarded. Each piece reflects a process of reimagining—where fragments of the past are reshaped into forms that are meaningful, expressive, and beautiful once again.
In this installation, fashion becomes both sculpture and storytelling.

The talk will commence at 2pm.
Gallery Opening Hours: Wednesday to Saturday, 11am to 5pm – EXCEPT first Wednesdays (closed) and first Thursdays (open 5-8pm only). The gallery is located at 809 NW Flanders st, Portland OR.
