Join us for an artist talk at Centro de Artes Gallery in Historic Market Square! This is in conjunction with the current exhibition, "A Postmodernist Says ¿Qué?" which explores the Latinx experience framed within various realms of humor. This event is free and open to the public! Enjoy free parking downtown at City garages on Thursdays starting at 5 p.m.
Exhibition curator Vikky Jones will moderate a conversation with artists Maria J. Brown, Ana Hernandez Burwell, Raul Rene Gonzalez, Octavio Quintanilla, and Ursula Zavala about their exhibited artworks and their creative process.
The 34 artists featured in this exhibition work in a variety of mediums including painting, photography, collage, ceramics, video, installation, textiles, sculpture, and performance. This event and entrance to the Centro de Artes Gallery is free. The exhibition runs through August 30, 2026. The gallery is open to the public Wednesday-Friday 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
