kidgloves is a musical virtuoso whose journey began on the strings of an upright bass in his youth symphony. Influenced by the soulful rhythms of Stevie Wonder and the intricacies of Rush, he's crafted a unique sound drawing from Mozart to early 2000s Coldplay. From an EP steeped in personal narratives to an upcoming album exploring a deeper look into the layers of family dynamics, kidgloves' music is a captivating blend of tension, complexity, and raw sensitivity. As a composer and songwriter in abstract folktronica, kidgloves defies genre norms. With a future eyeing movie scoring akin to Hans Zimmer, each note unravels a symphony of self-discovery and musical brilliance.

redella's music spins heartfelt stories and spans genres. Originally from the UK, redella honed her craft in London’s warehouse music scene and festivals, before settling in Oakland. She has collaborated with musicians from the USA, Brazil, India, Egypt, France, Greece, Russia, and Hungary and toured in ten countries. She is influenced by the work of everyone from Cleo Sol to Kate Bush to Keith Jarrett and brings these rich influences into her work with a captivating stage presence and a soulful voice. She’ll be debuting work from her soon-to-be-released album.

Zach Kysar is a California-based singer-songwriter who takes influence from folk, jazz, and funk. He is inspired by the lyrics of artists like Laufey, Theo Katzman, and Neutral Milk Hotel and the energy of bands like Lawrence and Sammy Rae and the Friends. His band plays in bars and arts spaces in the Bay Area under the name Paper Straw. You can follow him on Instagram at @zachkysar.

Kate Sumiko’s sultry voice captivates audiences with her raw, emotive storytelling. Her unique whistling and mouth trumpet mesh seamlessly with her songcraft, transporting listeners through soulful melodies and vulnerable lyrics paired with stories from her three years traveling the globe. If you like Phoebe Bridgers, Gregory Alan Isakov, Gillian Welch, or sad songs and lullabies, you’ll enjoy.

Groundfloor is a club designed to nurture people’s interests and passions within their neighborhood. We recognize that conventional relationships often form through social institutions such as workplaces, schools, churches, and sports teams. As we get older, places like this become less accessible or relevant as individuals seek new experiences, move cities, or shift their interests. This trend, accelerated by the pandemic, leaves a void full of confusion about where to find a genuine relationship in your daily life.
