Artist Showcase

To make the month of May even more colorful and special, this next showcase will be focusing on John (Jack) Stanaway’s work. His creativity exceeds beyond expectation and imagination. The longer you look, the more you will see. His choice of abstract involves bold colors that complement each other very well, and line work that is tedious to achieve.
John’s work is intricate, and can take hours to complete. We are excited to present this incredible work of Johns for the very first time, and it will most certainly not be the last.
The Heights Lounge has been a generous establishment for artists to embrace their work, giving opportunities for a gallery like setting so that we could come together for a night of community, conversations, creativity and kava. The night of May the 11th is awaiting you. A mind-blowing experience awaits.

John (Jack) Stanaway was born in Winfield, Illinois, 1995. He lived in Wheaton, IL for 25 years before relocating to Tampa, FL in 2020. From a young age John was always fascinated with art from all aspects; Music, Theater, Tech Crew, Drawing, and other painters. He knew he wanted to do something in the arts for a period of time, but did not discover his niche until 2018. He went to a music festival where he found his passion for painting. A painter there gave him a brush and asked him to paint stars for a background of an astronaut in space. He knew that when he got back, he would begin to develop his style in painting. He uses his past outer-body experiences and psychedelic electronic music as his main inspiration when it comes to his style. “Let the music control your paintbrush” is a quote John says a lot. The patterns he create are mesmerizing and will get you lost for hours.
