Learn about materiality in printmaking from exhibiting Biennale of Sydney artist Kirtika Kain.
Drawing inspiration from her family archives and Dalit literature, Kain uses diverse alchemical and experimental printmaking processes to transform everyday materials into aesthetic objects of value. In this session, Kain will take participants through her approach to printmaking and facilitate practical experimentation with monotyping and stencilling.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own archival images.
