We are thrilled to invite you to the artist reception for our feature exhibition of the New Year, “Light and Memory", a retrospective exhibition spotlighting the watercolor paintings by Bay Area artist Bruce Washburn.
The exhibition highlights Washburn’s decade-long exploration of watercolor as a medium for revisiting landscapes, cityscapes, and the emotional resonance of remembered places. Inspired by both the natural environments and distinctive urban settings of the Bay Area and beyond, Washburn’s work centers on the power of memory—the places he has visited, the people who shared those experiences, and the moments that lend lasting meaning.
