Calling all Dark Yellow Dot artists—past, present, and soon to be! Join us for a special evening of celebration and connection as we kick off the Crate Party weekend and E17 Art Trail with our Artist Meetup Private View & Group Exhibition!

This group exhibition sets the stage for our Artist Meetup and is an opportunity to mingle with our community, while admiring the incredible artwork on display featuring up to 10 local artists in a variety of mediums from paintings to interactive tech works. Come along, and share stories, exchange ideas, and forge new friendships with like-minded individuals who share your passion for art. Food and Drinks are available for purchase, to be enjoyed with good music and good vibes.

This Meetup is part of Dark Yellow Dot's immersive two-day experience at CRATE Walthamstow celebrating artists, creativity and artistic growth. We’ll be celebrating 7 years of supporting emerging artists with this event showcasing an array of enriching activities for creatives who want to do more with their art. We're kicking off the renowned E17 Art Trail, with this fun weekend spanning June 1st-2nd.

Group Exhibition and Residency: Showcasing an exceptional range of local artists work, ranging from paintings to digitally immersive pieces. We’ll also be hosting our 4th artist residency at 1B Window Gallery on the Art Trail with local artist Yimiao Shih.

Exhibition Private View & Artists Meetup: An open invitation to our artists and collaborators to celebrate our 7th Anniversary together in this creative meetup and private view honouring the incredible art pieces on display.

Artist Talks and Q&As: Gain insights and inspiration from established artists through engaging discussions and interactive Q&A sessions.

DJ & Good Vibes: We’ve invited one of our favorite DJ’s to help us celebrate, playing good tunes throughout the Private View

Dark Yellow Dot, is an artist-run platform for sharing, connecting, learning and growing as an artist. By curating and organising exhibitions, workshops and other events, we’re supporting and making space for new artists and creative beginners. We’re proud to have featured many artists in their first ever exhibitions and online publications. Read more about us here.

We currently manage two public-facing gallery spaces in East London which allow artists to share their work with a wide audience. The Genesis Cinema Gallery in Mile End and the 1B Window Gallery in Walthamstow. Read more about them here.

On this occasion we are excited to celebrate our 7th anniversary with the CRATE at 17&Central Walthamstow during the renowned E17 Art Trail.

It's a festival created by the residents of Walthamstow and produced by Artillery. The E17 Art Trail festival makes visible and celebrates the creativity of artists and creative citizens living and working in and around Walthamstow, East London. It is produced and gently curated by Artillery.
