Artist led workshop with Carrie Mason: Introduction to looping

Join artist in residence Carrie Mason to learn craft techniques used in the 'Short Ends' exhibition.
This half day beginner-friendly Looped Basketry Workshop is designed to teach the ancient, meditative technique of knotless netting.
Our workshop is suitable for complete beginners. You will learn to make a round coaster using a simple looping stitch. The technique learned can be scaled up to make larger baskets, bags and mats.
Whether you’re seeking a relaxing escape, a new hobby, or simply want to meet fellow creatives, this workshop offers an opportunity to connect and craft.
Tea & Coffee available. Admission to Bridport Museum included in the ticket: There will be time before or after your session to see the Short Ends exhibition.
This is a half day session running at the following times:
Morning: 10:30 – 12.30
Afternoon: 1.30 – 3.30
