Artist Information Session: Baltimore Black Sox Memorial Project

Are you an artist interested in creating a sculpture celebrating a historic Negro League team? Join us for an Artist Information Session to learn about the Baltimore Black Sox Memorial project, including project goals, the , and the submission process. This opportunity is open to artists based in Maryland, DC, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Virginia. During this session we’ll:

• Walk through the goals of the project and the application process
• Introduce the community engagement process
• Explain how selected artists can collaborate with the local community
• Share insights into the design themes, site context, and submission expectations.

The information session will be held at (218 West Saratoga Street, Baltimore, MD 21201) from 6:00–8:00 PM on November 12, 2025.

Whether you're a sculptor experienced in public art or an artist exploring new ways to connect history with place, this is a great opportunity to ask questions, get clarity, and consider how your work could become part of this important memorial.
