About this Event
Join us at Mother House Studios for a series of creative workshops where children and grown-ups make, think and play alongside one another.
Across a 10-month programme, our studio artists will lead workshops which playfully explore the roles artists - as well as children and parents - play in society.
Our series opens with
“Artist as Healer.”

Intuitive Drawing with Hannah Jones.
A playful drawing workshop for adults and children using simple materials and movement to explore mark-making. Inspired by Steiner creativity and Jungian self-reflective practices, the workshop shares techniques used by Hannah in her own work as both artist and psychotherapist.

Lunch
Relax with us in between workshops for a delicious lunch homemade by Ritu, who will be cooking Nepalese Bara black lentil pancakes with a freshly prepared salad. £7.50, pre-ordering required.
2pm-4pm
Therapeutic Sound and Voice with Rosalind Fowler and Portia Winters.
A guided sound journey for grown-ups led by artists Rosalind and Portia, with children welcome to attend as well. We will work with visualisation, collective voice, herbs and journaling to tune into and explore our heart energies and our roles as caregivers, navigating territories of self-care alongside the parallel presence of our little ones.
You can join for one workshop or both an also for lunch a delicious homemade lunch!
Kids tickets are £1 applicable to either full or half day bookings.
