Join the McGill Institute for the Study of Canada (MISC) for “Artificial Intelligence: The Ultimate Disrupter,” a panel discussion exploring AI’s place in the longstanding historical dynamic between tech entrepreneurs’ drive for unfettered innovation, growth, and wealth generation, and political and societal efforts to regulate innovation and reduce its potential harms.
Moderated by award-winning foreign correspondent Nahlah Ayed, host of IDEAS on CBC Radio One, speakers at the third edition of Conversations: sponsored by Charles Bronfman are:
- Yoshua Bengio, Professor at Université de Montreal, Co-President and Scientific Director of LawZero and Founder and Scientific Advisor of Mila;
- Cory Doctorow, Writer, activist, journalist, author of the international bestsller Enshittification;
- Astra Taylor, Filmmaker, writer, and organizer, and the 2023 CBC Massey Lecturer
