Plus, kids and teens here’s your chance to become an archaeologist for day!! We invite all budding archaeologists to take part in a KIDS’ ARCHAEOLOGY WORKSHOP for ages 6-12, from 11 am to 12 pm, and our TEENS’ ARCHAEOLOGY WORKSHOP from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Both sessions will be run by Cara Bradford, one of The Charleston Museum's educators. Examine potsherds, glassware, bone, and metal to unlock the secrets of Charleston’s past. Solve the puzzle of a broken object, conduct artifact analysis, and learn all about the field of archaeology. This program will cover different types of archaeology as well as the methods used by archaeologists. Participants will have a chance to get hands-on with history and natural history. Due to limited space, reservations are required. Cost is $5 per attendee to cover cost of materials. To register for one of the workshops, visit one of the following links:
