($20-$30 tickets | 4:30pm & 7pm sets) Join Century Room Artistic Director Arthur Vint & his Associates in celebrating Father’s Day with “Song For My Father”, featuring the music of Horace Silver! Pianist and composer Horace Silver’s father was born in Cape Verde and was an inspiration for several of Horace’s compositions, most notably the “Cape Verdean Blues” and of course “Song for My Father”, which features Cape Verdean melodic concepts. The band will explore many more Silver compositions written for his own bands and for Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers.
Arthur has assembled some of the best jazz musicians in town (who just happen to be fathers) for this fantastic Father's Day concert! So bring your dad, bring your kids, or come celebrate their memory with an evening of beautiful music.
