Art Workshop with Emma Skeet

The workshop takes place on 25 August 2026, 10am to 12pm, at West Lexham near Kings Lynn, Norfolk (PE32 2QN). Tickets cost £20 per person and are available to book via the link.
We are delighted to be welcoming Emma Skeet to West Lexham for a two-hour creative workshop that is
open to all. Emma runs SYSTA (Share Your Story Through Art), a Community Interest Company with over 35 years of experience using art to bring people together and deepen our connection to the natural world. She holds a full DBS certificate and carries public liability insurance.
The workshop uses the plants, animals and landscape of West Lexham as its creative starting point. Participants work with drawing, painting, collage, embroidery, weaving, printing and bookmaking, choosing whatever medium feels right to them. The session also weaves in learning about the protected species
that live here and the Planetary Boundaries (the ecological limits within which humanity can maintain a healthy, safe and just planet).
West Lexham sits in a quiet, wildlife-rich corner of Norfolk. The water meadow is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and the restored chalk stream forms part of a wider living habitat that shapes the creative work of the day.
Some people will make something to take home. Others will contribute to a larger collective piece that goes on display in the cafe across the summer. The session is relaxed and welcoming, with no experience necessary and no fixed outcome in mind.
Emma creates a space where creativity feels easy and enjoyable for everyone.
After the workshop, you are welcome to stay on for lunch in the cafe (not included in the workshop price)
and spend time exploring the grounds.
The workshop is open to guests staying with us, local residents and people from Emma's network.
Drop-ins are welcome on the day if spaces remain. The session is suitable for all ages, and under 12s are welcome when accompanied by an adult.
Spaces are limited, so we recommend booking your place in advance.
