Join us for Art with Intention: a Frida Kahlo-inspired paint and sip event with a special focus on creating traditional Mexican retablos. Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of Mexican folk art as you learn to make your own retablo—a devotional painting typically done on tin, depicting spiritual or symbolic imagery, often used as a form of prayer or gratitude. During her lifetime, Kahlo collected around two thousand retablos displayed around her home. The purchase of a ticket includes a complimentary first beverage from a selection of wines, beers, juices, and sodas to choose from to enjoy as you make art.

Please select one of the two sessions for your experience. Guided by an experienced instructor, you’ll draw inspiration from Frida Kahlo’s distinctive style to create your own expression of wishes or gratitude. Whether you’re an experienced artist or a complete beginner, this event offers a unique opportunity to explore your creativity in a relaxed, social setting. All materials will be provided.
