Art Walk (and Roll) on Colfax
About this Event
Join Denver Arts & Venues and East Colfax Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) on Saturday, November 14, from 1 – 3 p.m. for an afternoon exploring art and supporting small businesses.
This fall, the center stations from Broadway to Colorado Blvd. opened for bus-only lane operations – and the canopy art on the signature station arches are now on display. Now’s your chance to meet the artists behind six of the station designs: Downing, Franklin/Park, Josephine/York, Fillmore, Madison and Colorado. The artists will be stationed at small businesses along the corridor near their artwork!
What to expect on your Colfax art adventure:
Check in and get rolling:
Stop first at Hooked on Colfax (3213 E. Colfax Ave.) to pick up your art explorer map, which shows where to find each artist and the businesses hosting them. The first 100 guests will receive a free RTD bus pass to ride between art walk stops. While there, see the reveal of the community canvas by local artist Connor Choi, which features brushstrokes by attendees of the Uinta BRT arch lift.

Meet the canopy artists at stops along the corridor:
- Jocelyn (Downing station): Good Bones Coffee, 1201 E. Colfax Ave.
- Justin DeCou (Franklin/Park station): Tight End & Gyro It Up, 1501 E. Colfax Ave.
- Corrine Trujillo (Josephine/York and Madison stations): Cerebral Brewing, 1477 Monroe St.
- Janelle Stanley (Fillmore station): Fever Dream Vintage, 2903 E. Colfax Ave.
- Matt Maclean (Colorado station): Scavenged Goods, 3229 E. Colfax Ave.
At each location, collect commemorative stickers and postcards, shop for local art and get to know the creative minds behind the canopy designs.
Discover art:
Along the corridor, look up at the canopies of each of the center bus stations and discover 20 original art panels, colorful power box wraps, and vibrant street banners created by a juried group of 28 local artists, curated by Colfax Ave BID.
Back the Fax:
Show East Colfax businesses your love. Hooked on Colfax is also a Fax Pass Pop Up location where you can pick up a Fax Pass and a map of participating Fax Pass businesses – and redeem stickers you earn from supporting Colfax establishments for prizes!
