Join Mark Arts and Wichita Adaptive Sports for a fun, creative event! First, enjoy a special story time brought to you by the Landreth’s. Enjoy a ready of the book Drawn to Be You written by Corey and Andrea Landreth and illustrated by Trent Landreth. Through words and illustration discover our differences and know you were meant to be uniquely you.
After story time, learn how adaptive athletes utilize different chairs to compete! Adaptive wheelchairs can accommodate a variety of sports including tennis, basketball, hand cycling, and racing.
Unleash your creativity and inner strength in this fun and empowering art project, “My Inner Superhero”! Kids will create a self-portrait of themselves as a superhero, showcasing their unique qualities, talents, and dreams. The twist? They will also practice adaptability by incorporating a physical challenge or “inhibitor” into their artwork that they must creatively overcome!
