Art to Art: Creative Well, Seen and Unseen
Some share it widely. Some keep it close. Some move between visibility and privacy throughout their creative lives.
But seeing is not always the same as understanding. What we choose to reveal, what others perceive, and what remains hidden can shape both the work itself and our relationship to it.
For November's Art to Art gathering, we'll explore the complicated relationship between making, seeing, and sharing: exhibiting work, revealing process, building an audience, maintaining boundaries, navigating criticism, and noticing what others might overlook.
What makes us willing to share?
What makes us hold back?
What do we see that others don't?
And who are we making the work for in the first place?
The evening will include guided discussion, anonymous audience questions, community conversation, and a brief creative wellness component.
Ken rarely sought attention for his work, yet he shared it generously with others. His example reminds us that there are many ways for art to move through the world, and that visibility and impact are not necessarily the same thing.
