About this Event

SLO County Arts and the City of SLO Public Art present a new Art Talk Series taking place on select Thursdays of each month running through October 2024. This series aims to celebrate diverse artistic talents and provide insightful discussions on various art-related topics. Our first speaker is Odile Ayral-Clause who will present on the fascinating life and works of the 19th-century French sculptor, Camille Claudel. With 35 years as a professor of French at Cal Poly and authoring Claudel's biography, Ayral-Clause brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her presentation. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore Claudel’s legacy, highlighted by her current exhibition at the Getty – the first significant solo exhibition of this remarkable artist in the U.S.
