Art Talk and Book Signing with Stacy D. Flood and Joey Robinson

This event will start with a panel discussion, moderated by painter Mary Lamery. Author Stacy D. Flood will discuss his critically acclaimed novel The Salt Fields, about a Black man's journey north, leaving South Carolina post World War II. Joey Robinson's painting series The Black Maids honors Black working class individiuals through history and was inspired by his experiences during the 1960s race riots of New Jersey. These two creatives will discuss the relationship between their works with the guidance of Mary Lamery. The Salt Fields will be available to purchase and have signed by Stacy, and selections from The Black Maids will be on display and available for purchase.
