An Artist Rummage Sale - 25% of profits donated to Philabundance & Brigid Alliance
This yearly fundraising event is a funny take on our Art Star CRAFT Bazaar, though it will be nothing like that event. Over 20 of our regular crafters will be selling off their "Seconds" at huge discounts. There will be no fancy booth displays and no frills! Just a bunch of big tables piled with stuff to rummage through!
The crap bazaar aims to support our artists by helping them make some income off of time spent learning and playing - an important part of the artistic process. Many of the items included in the "crap" bazaar are just that - pieces that were made as practice before the piece is perfected and placed on shop shelves and sold at craft shows. Other items are overstock, samples, or have been discontinued from their retail lines to make room for fresh, new work. Some may be mishaps, that have little cracks, chips, or other imperfections. Find a handmade Treasure at A GREAT PRICE. Items will be marked down AT LEAST 50% off retail prices.
Another mission of the Crap Bazaar is to give back to our community. Each year we donate 25% of the total sales from the event to two Non-Profits. This year we have chosen Philabundance and Brigid Alliance. The donation will be split between these two evenly.
Philabundance https://www.philabundance.org/
Philabundance was founded in 1984 with the simple belief that no one should go hungry while healthy food goes to waste. Our mission is to drive hunger from our communities today and to end hunger for good. To do this, we work with over 350 community partners to distribute food throughout nine counties in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey and are a proud member of the Feeding America network.
In addition to food distribution, we work to reduce food waste, increase access to nutritious meals, and tackle the root causes of hunger through programs such as the Philabundance Community Kitchen.
The Brigid Alliance https://brigidalliance.org/
For many Americans, the costs and logistical challenges of getting to an abortion provider are primary barriers to access, and it’s only getting harder. We book, coordinate and pay for travel, travel expenses, and child care, serving as a single, trusted point of contact for every step of the journey. Wherever someone needs to get to abortion care in the U.S., we find a way to get them there – through direct support and in collaboration with our network of partners.
The "Crap" bazaar occurs only once a year, so don't miss out on a chance to purchase original, handmade goods at great prices.
