Join well-loved Bristol watercolourist Abigail McDougall for a “beginners masterclass” in watercolour techniques. Suitable for 11-16s.
This workshop will cover important basics of working in watercolour, from materials, technique, application, colour theory and awareness, observation, to composition and exploring what you are inspired to paint.
The workshop will have a focus on landscapes, as Abigail is primarily a landscape artist, but you are welcome to explore anything/ bring images that take your interest. Learn the joys in taking advantage of what the watercolour medium has to offer, especially its transparent quality, its fluid quality and its capacity for bold colour and lights and darks.
