November 6: Exploring the Power of Sketching and Play in the Creative Process presented by Victor Davila and Ashley Taylor, UCF
Join UCF professors Victor Davila and Ashley Taylor as they explore the significance of sketching and incorporating play into the creative process.
Both artists will emphasize the importance of playfulness in the creative process, highlighting how it helps maintain a sense of curiosity and joy in their work.
Davila will share his insights on the value of keeping sketchbooks as a space for capturing ideas, experimenting with concepts, and exploring creativity without the pressure of perfection.
Taylor will complement this by discussing her use of printmaking as a playful and experimental medium.
She will explain how engaging with the physicality of print processes allows her to embrace unpredictability and trial-and-error, leading to surprising and inspiring results.
