A respected assemblage artist presents a free talk on the history of assemblage and collage art as part of a gallery exhibition.
About this Event

Leslie Caldera presents a brief history of the major players in the development of assemblage art and how some of these past artists have influenced his own aesthetic and attitude. Though Pablo Picasso is credited with sparking this movement, many other artists have arguably been more influential - Ed Kienholz and Joseph Cornell among them. At this event Leslie Caldera will present a history that is both factual and personal and illuminate an art movement that continues to challenge viewers and inspire new work.
