As a self taught artist, she draws inspiration from the work of Georgia O’Keefe and Agnes Cecil as well as from the adversities in her life, including being raised in a religious cult, experiencing poverty, enduring relational abuse, and supporting a mentally ill spouse. Through her work, Hannah invites viewers to recognize their own strength and ability to flourish, no matter the circumstances, celebrating their inner tenacity mirroring the toughness of succulents—plants that show their most vivid colors in the harshest conditions.
