The next installment for "Art on the Riverfront", features a solo exhibition by Tristan Slade. Out of Place, A Fear and Longing. The imagery presented will take us through his journey as he embraces art therapy by exploring moments in time where he felt both in and out of place at the same time. As well as navigating depression brought about by a lack of time to process emotionally destructive experiences like losing a best friend, going broke, and a broken heart.Join us on April 27th, 2024, for an intimate look at how Tristan shares with us pivotal moments in his life that helped shape who he is.

About the artist:
Born and raised in Detroit and former College for Creative Studies student Tristan also known as Fox works in a wide variety of mediums including but not limited to painting, screen printing, woodworking, photography and even sewing. His work is influenced by many things in his life that others can relate to from love and humor to depression and being stereotyped, along with a strong influence of Detroit's uniqueness. His use of vibrant colors, bold contrast, and interesting textures combine the most emotional and questionable moments in life and brings them to a level anyone can relate too.
