Art on the Canalside: Autumn Photo Walk
About this Event
Join us for a canalside photowalk where you will have the chance to capture changing season on this hidden and idiosyncratic stretch of London's canal network. This will be an informal get together of photography enthusiasts where all levels and abilities are welcome.
Canals are unique places where nature and edgelands exist within city centres, offering a wide range of subjects to photograph: birds, insects, plants, people, boats, architecture, built heritage and urban ruins.
Photowalks are a great opportunity to meet and learn from other photographers and practice your craft. The walk will be facilitated by a representative from the Canal and River Trust who will guide the walk and give context and information on what you encounter along the way.
From the starting point: the steps between The Collective and the Canalside (W3W: ///zealous.rides.leader), we will walk west finishing at Harlesden Canalside (just after Acton Road bridge). The nearest tube station to the start point is Willesden Junction and Harlesden for the finish.
The Canal & River Trust is the UK's largest canal charity, caring for a 2,000-mile network of stunning canals and navigable rivers. Tickets for this walk are free but donations are appreciated and will go towards our work maintaining this network and keeping the canals open and alive, for everyone to enjoy.
