CREW West Michigan is proud to present The Art of the Deal: Frieden Saugatuck, an in-depth look at the creation of a distinctive luxury campground development along Michigan’s Art Coast. This program highlights how vision, collaboration, and strategic execution came together to bring Frieden Saugatuck from concept to reality—while showcasing the power of women-led dealmaking in commercial real estate.

Owned and developed by ACRE Holdings, founded by Linzey Erickson and Andrea Scott, Frieden Saugatuck is a compelling example of a female-centric deal structure, with women leading ownership, development, legal strategy, financing, and design. Attendees will hear firsthand how the development team navigated site selection, capital structuring, branding, and execution to deliver a refined outdoor hospitality experience rooted in nature and elevated in comfort.

Legal strategy for the project was led by Linzey Erickson of Accomplished Law Group, providing critical guidance throughout the development process and ensuring alignment between vision, risk management, and execution.

True to CREW’s mission of advancing women in commercial real estate, the key partnerships behind this deal were forged through CREW West Michigan. Project financing was secured with Consumers Credit Union, led by Melissa Evans, and interior design and experiential placemaking were supported by KDS, with Kate Deupree guiding design decisions that balance luxury, authenticity, and sense of place.
