Discover the therapeutic and ancient art form Raqs Sharqi, known in the Western world as BELLY DANCE with internationally acclaimed instructor, Raphaella Lua!In this two (2) hour workshop, students will be guided into the world of Raqs Sharqi including proper technique, the therapeutic agents of its core movements as well as its sacred connection to yoga. In addition to learning a key set of movements as well as strengthening and conditioning exercises, students will receive a brief introduction into the history of Raqs Sharqi through the ancient ages to present day.
All levels are welcome, and no prior belly dance experience is needed!
Please wear comfortable, breathable, flexible clothes and bring some water + your yoga mat.

About Your Instructor:
Raphaella Lua is an internationally renowned Instructor & Choreographer in both Tribal Fusion and American Cabaret Belly Dance. In addition to her career in the dance world, she is also a certified HATHA Yoga Instructor.
Performing and teaching in many countries throughout the globe including Brazil, Mexico, Spain, France and Holland, Raphaella is well known for her fiery improvisation and unique twist on this Oriental style of dance, stemming from her background in Latin Ballroom and Ballet.
In addition to American Cabaret and Tribal Fusion Belly Dance, Raphaella has an in-depth background in several other styles of dance. With more than 20 years of dance experience, she has trained in ballet, latin ballroom, jazz, hip hop and American Tribal Style belly dance.
