A creative workshop on drafting a Land Acknowledgement ceremony through creative techniques
Join Rev. Houston R. Cypress, from the Otter Clan of the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida, as he facilitates a workshop on drafting a Land Acknowledgement public ceremony.
He will lead a conversation about the origins of this reconciliatory gesture, and showcase some artistic variations on this public ceremony.
Houston will also invite participants to experiment with movement, sound, and poetry, as modalities for expressing these intentions.
Refreshments will be served.
