Art of Communication Workshop

Can you easily express to others how you tend to communicate and prefer to be communicated with?

Let's dig into communication with fun and engaging art-based activities!

Participants will receive some quick instruction on communication styles and skills, based on psychology and communication research and then participate in short exercises to help them discover/document their communication style, including both how they tend to communicate and how they prefer to receive information.

Throughout the workshop, participants will be partnered/grouped together for guided discussions to help share about their communication style/preferences and learn about others with the goal of understanding how they can best communicate across styles.

But wait! This is not your typical workshop. Arts and creative activities will occur throughout to help attendees express and learn the topics in a new way. Participants will engage in the creation of an individualized collage in addition to collaborative drawing exercises. All of the art activities will be beginner friendly. Don't consider yourself an 'artist,' not a problem!

By the end of the workshop, attendees will have a deeper understanding of their own and others’ communication styles and how to use that knowledge moving forward. They will also take home their individualized collage expressing their communication style and preferences that they can share with those in their lives.

This workshop is facilitated by Nicole Ennen, Founder of Org Empathy Consulting, LLC and multi-hyphenate human that pulls from her background in education, training, arts, and psychology to create experiential workshops that help people grow. Find out more at www.artoftheteam.com.

This is a guided interactive workshops, so attendees are encouraged to arrive on time to participate fully.

This workshop is targetted towards professionals who want to grow their communication skills, learn about others, and have some fun while doing it!

*Art materials will be provided, but feel free to bring extra magazines if you have particular ones you want to work from for collaging
