In this two day workshop we will explore various techniques of hands-on-adjustments as well as guiding students to self-adjust effectively with clear and concise verbal cues. There are many factors to take into consideration when physically adjusting students.We will cover the following:
~Verbal cuing and physical adjustments
~Passive adjustments versus active adjustments
~When to adjust and when not to adjust
~Learning to observe and analyze before adjusting
~Adjusting safely, confidently and effectively
~Reading someone's body
~Adjusting with the breath
~Alignment principals and how they apply to adjustments
~ Compression versus tension and how that affects adjustments
~Using props effectively
~Boundaries and ethics of adjusting
~ Empowering students to be able to self-adjust and not become dependent on the teacher
We will cover various types of poses in this training including:
~Sun Salutations
~Standing Poses
~Balancing Poses
~Forward Folds
~Twists
~Backbends
~Inversions
~Savasana
We will spend time in various yoga poses throughout the workshop giving and receiving adjustments in one-on-one interaction. And take a look at different body types and anatomical differences and how each person will look and feel differently when experiencing an adjustment.
Cost: $165 if paid and registered by October 18th, $195 thereafter
*A $30 deposit and cancellation fee is built into the cost of this workshop. There will be no refunds issued within 30 days of the start date.
