Where painting meets dancing.! Art N' Groove is about music ~ dance ~ and creative connection. We have an exciting line-up of 5(five) DJs. Bringing you the groovy tracks while you let your creative minds flow. We can't wait to show you who, or what we are painting this time.!
PRESENTING special guest ~Emilio Del Canto ~ with support from SMOORE, Michelle C, DISTRACTION, and Just Amber.
Emilio Del Canto is a first-generation Canadian with a diverse musical background and upbringing. Since his humble beginnings in Saskatoon, Canada, Emilio has forged himself into a prominent DJ, producer, and event promoter in the Canadian music industry. He presently operates at the helm of his event companies 'Foundation House Music' and 'The Treehouse Series' in synergy with other artists', and was recently nominated for Saskatchewan Music Awards 'Artist of The Year for Electronic Music' He actively releases tracks that encompass his unique style, taste, and passion for electronic music which always shines through in his work and is held at the forefront of his endeavours.
During his early years, Emilio held a residency at 'Kass Night Club' in Benin, West Africa, and has more recently toured and performed across Canada, the U.S., and as far South as Mexico, and Nicaragua. The influence of his travel and his Chilean roots have resulted in an exciting fusion of musical styles that incorporate an array of tropical, Latin, and tribal-based rhythms, as well as deep, soulful melodies, chord progressions, vocals, the melodic, and cultural contemporary electronic genres. The refined skill he possesses is attributed to decades of music collection, research, and artistic development.
In performance, Emilio is never afraid to break the mold and explore beyond the expected. His musical spontaneity is balanced by the technical finesse he exhibits behind the decks and in the studio. Instinctually responsive to the dynamic ebb and flow of a dance floor, he is able to connect intimately with his audience through his music and effortlessly manipulates the energy throughout his sets. He pours his heart and soul into his craft, and can always be seen playing out, writing tracks, throwing events, and making moves to spread the music he loves.
