Art, Memory and the Immigrant Experience

How do we carry memory, identity, and a sense of home when we begin again in a new country? Join us at the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art on October 4 at 1:00 PM for the opening of the Jacques Hnizdovsky exhibition and a special program, “Art, Memory and the Immigrant Experience.” Through Hnizdovsky’s powerful art and the reflections of Emmy Award-winning author, journalist, and filmmaker Howard Reich, we will explore how immigration, memory, and creativity shape who we are and connect generations. Come experience an afternoon of art, storytelling, and meaningful conversation—and discover how the immigrant experience continues to inspire new beginnings.
