Join us for a relaxing art journaling class on Saturday, July 11th from 1:00 – 2:30.

Art journaling is a creative process focusing on visual art-making as a form of self-expression and is available to all levels of experience. This is a recurring monthly class which allows both newcomers to get started at any time and previous participants to continue to build their journals.

Class begins with a prompt or theme followed by an introduction to a specific mixed media techniques. This includes layering, painting, collage, mark-making, printing, stitching, and more. While we provide all necessary supplies you are welcome to bring a journal or book that has special significance or once you are already working on. The theme this month is your inner landscape. If you joined us for a previous art journal class please bring your altered book journal. If you are new to class, you will be provided with a book to alter and use for your journal.

Classes at Thrifty Connections intended for adults and suitable for individuals 16+.

Ticket Policy

All ticket sales are final. As a small business, we operate with limited class capacity. Classes require advance planning, preparation time, and the gathering of materials and supplies. Because of our limited capacity, we are typically unable to refill seats or recover the costs associated with cancellations. For these reasons, all class ticket purchases are final and non-refundable.

If you’re unable to attend, your ticket may be transferred to a friend or donated—just let us know ahead of time so we can update our guest list. Thank you for understanding and for supporting our small classes and creative offerings.

Creating in my art journal has been a big part of my artistic life for as long as I can remember. I have found this form of art making to be the perfect playground for relaxing, mindful, and experimental creativity. I find great fulfillment in encouraging others to begin an art journal practice.
